MK
Mary Kate McCartney (E-RYT 500, YACEP) has been lovingly teaching yoga in Northern California and abroad for nearly 20 years and is humbled to serve others through this transformative art and science. “Each time we practice yoga an alchemical process occurs, where our frequencies rise, healthier patterns form and we begin to feel better.” MK currently leads teacher trainings, retreats, weekly classes and is a Co-founder of Sol Rio Studio, alongside her husband, Alex, based to Sonoma County, California. She also loves traveling, dancing and spending time with her daughter.
Alex
Alex has been playing and appreciating music and sound for over 30 years. He has studied music at the college level, played in a variety of ensembles and has taught music in schools. With a background in jazz, he creates innovative soundscapes, supporting participants' deepened experience. Alex says, he's "Just a being, interests include: perpetually searching for the sonic palette of the universe while promoting the proliferation of kindness through aural communication...and other stuff too."
seva ~ selfless service
Seva is interwoven into the teachings of yoga. It offers us a simple tool to shift from the limiting space of "I, Me, My", into the expansive and heart-centered space of We.
